We have 2 different itineraries for this tour.
OPTION 1: Start cycling from Tallinn to Lahemaa
Day 1: Bike ride to Valkla. Distance: 45 km
Cycling out of Tallinn until town of Maardu is on bicycle road. Enjoy a panoramic view from Tallinn TV tower and discover foreign rarities and local plants in Tallinn Botanic Garden. Road then takes you to small town Maardu and continues around old Ülgase Phosporite Mines to Jõelähtme. Enjoy the views to Estonia’d most powerful waterfall in Jägala and continue to Valkla village. Accommodation in guesthouse next to the beach.
Day 2. Bike ride to Sagadi. Distance: 62 km or 73 km
Day 2 the route continues to one of the most known nature sights in Estonia - Viru Bog. You can take a walk on marked and signposted walking trail to viewing tower. Route continues to Palmse where is Lahemaa National Park visitors centre, Palmse Manor and Park. From here you have two options to continue: make a longer route through summer resort Võsu or take a short route to fisherman village Altja. Accommdoation in Sagadi, in hotel.
Day 3: Bike ride through Palmse to Kadrina. Distance: 31 km + 45 train min.
Last day you will cycle firat to Palmse then to Viitna and continue to Kadrina. Train back to Tallinn. Trains leave at 14:30 and 20:05.
OPTION 2: Spend all 3 days in Lahemaa
Day 1: Train out of Tallinn. Cycling to Käsmu. Distance: 38 km
Trains leaves at 8:50 in the morning towards Lahemaa to Kadrina. Twisted road takes you to Viitna and then to Palmse, where is Lahemaa National Park visitors centre is located. Visit Palmse Manor and Park and continue to romantic seaside village Käsmu. Accommodation in B&B place in Käsmu.
Day 2: Cycling to Sagadi. Distance: 14 or 26 km
Day 2 you can cycle directly to Sagadi or visit the sights of Lahemaa: summer resort Võsu, Altja fishermans village and hike in one of the trails in Oandu. Accommdoation is in Sagadi.
Day 3: Cycling back to Kadrina. Train to Tallinn. Distance: 31 km
Day 3 you will cycle first to Palmse and then back to Kadrina. Trains leave at 14:30 and 20:05.
