What are the routes like – paved or
off-road?
Most of
the tours we arrange are on paved, third class roads - back
roads. Some tour sections are on dedicated, paved cycling paths in addition to forest tracks
or off-road, light-gravel paths, both of which may also be cycling trails. We try to avoid
highways and roads with busy traffic. Special care on big cities, there we have
carefully researched routes on way out or in.
What are your rental bikes like? How do I know
I'll be comfortable on them? We use late model MERIDA trekking bikes,
mountain bikes and city bikes. Trekking and mountain bikes are 21-24 speed
bikes. They have Shimano Acera to Deore shifters and components, and male or
female frames, sizes 44-61 cm. City bikes are meant for cruising in the city.
They have six speeds and extra comfortable seats. SOON PICTURES! For optimal
comfort, you can bring your own saddle and/or pedals. We'll put them on our bike
for you and you'll feel right at home.
Can I take my own bike? Yes,
if you can figure out a way to get it down here. We have special transfer
service from Tallinn airport (just 250 EEK/16 EUR) one way, including up to 2
passengers, their bikes and luggage. Ask also discounted rates for our tours if
you come with your own bike (escorted or self-guided tours). We don’t recommend using on our tours road bikes
or city bikes (if the tour haven’t tailor made to fit for them, ask before you
decide).
